How much does furniture disposal cost
| Waste type | Price (2026, VAT incl.) |
|---|---|
| Bulky waste (unusable furniture) | 31.00 €/m³ |
| Construction and demolition waste | 41.30 €/m³ |
| Treated wood | 31.00 €/m³ |
| Concrete, bricks, ceramics | 31.00 €/m³ |
| Window glass | 31.00 €/m³ |
The waste station charges by the cubic metre: the employee measures the load in the vehicle (length × width × height) and multiplies it by the price of the waste type. For Tallinn residents the fee is much lower than for companies – bring your ID card.
What is accepted free of charge
Free of charge (some types have quantity limits):
- electronics and home appliances;
- metal;
- paper, cardboard and packaging;
- usable clothes and items;
- untreated wood;
- tyres and batteries.
So getting rid of a fridge or washing machine usually costs only the transport, not the waste station fee.
How to save on disposal
- Dismantle the furniture. A dismantled wardrobe takes less space and you do not pay for the empty inside.
- Sort the waste. Sorted waste is cheaper than mixed waste – packaging, metal and wood separately.
- Pass on what is usable. Furniture in good condition can go to a reuse centre or be sold.
- Pay with your own ID card. As a Tallinn resident you get a lower price at the waste station – you can come along with us.
What cannot go to the waste station without a separate arrangement
Hazardous waste – paints, solvents, oils, medicines and pesticides – goes separately to the hazardous waste point of a waste station. We do not transport it.
If you do not want to do it yourself
We carry the old furniture out ourselves, dismantle it if needed and take it to the waste station or to reuse. The price has two parts: our hourly rate (2 workers and a 14 m³ van 84 €/h or a 21 m³ box van 96 €/h on weekdays) and the waste station invoice. For a quote we need an exact description or photos. Our waste permit: L.JÄ/333085.
More: old furniture removal or, if a whole apartment needs to be emptied, apartment clearance.
